Mushroom Dum Masala is a delicious, flavorful and easy Dum style recipe with instant spices.
200 gms Mushrooms
2 Big tomatoes (chopped)
1 Big Onion (grated)
Salt to taste
1/4 Cup Poppy seeds (khus-khus)
8 Almonds (blanched)
5-6 Flakes Garlic
3 tsp Oil
1/2 tsp Red chili powder
2 Green chilies (chopped)
1/2 tsp Garam masala
1 tsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
How to prepare
Pick, wash and soak poppy seeds in 1/2 cup of water for 15 minutes. Drain and grind. Clean, wash and cut mushrooms into pieces and fry till soft. Heat ghee in a kadhai and fry onions till golden brown in color. Grind ginger, garlic, and almonds to a fine paste. Add this paste to onions and stir-fry for a few minutes.
Add poppy seed paste and stir-fry again for few minutes on a low flame. Finally add fried mushrooms, tomatoes, salt and red chili powder. Cook till tomatoes are done. Add a little water if required.
Sprinkle green chilies, coriander leaves, and Garam Masala on top and serve hot.
