1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 Large onion, diced
1/2 Green bell pepper, chopped
3 28-ounce cans crushed tomatoes
2 40-ounce cans dark red kidney beans, drained
3 Tablespoons chili powder
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon sugar
How to prepare
Heat the olive oil in a very large frying pan over medium heat.
Saute the onion and pepper until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and bring the mixture to a boil. Low the heat and simmer and cover for one hour.
