Minced Meat And Chicken Peas

The dish of Minced Meat and Chicken Peas has been traditionally made using Mutton in Indian families. It is a healthier option for the ones looking to cut again on red meat. This is a completely clean recipe and goes nicely with Rice,  Rotis or Naan. Peas on this dish offer it a vibrant shade and fresh flavor.


500 gms Minced mutton
1 Onion (chopped)
1/2 tsp Garlic paste
Salt to taste
1-1/2 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Paneer (grated)
1/2 tsp Garam masala
1 stick Cinnamon
2 Green cardamoms
250 gms Chick-peas (boiled)
1 tsp Ginger paste
1-1/2 cup Tomatoes (crushed)
1/2 tsp Red chili powder
1 tsp Lemon juice
1/2 cup Cream
2 Cloves
2 Green chilies (chopped)
1 tbsp Coriander leaves (chopped)

How to prepare

Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan and fry onions till golden brown add ginger and garlic, cook for 1-2 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt red chili powder, cloves, cinnamon, green chilies, cardamom and garam masala. Cook till is done. Add minced meat, cover and cook over low flame till tender.
Finally add chickpeas, grated paneer, and cream into it. Mix well and simmer over low flame for 3-4 minutes or till all water evaporates. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
